Editing posts and revision history

Edit your own questions, discussions and replies. Every edit keeps the previous version, visible to you and to moderators.

Edit #

  1. Open your topic or reply and choose Edit.
  2. Make your changes.
  3. Fill in What changed? — a short note shown in the revision history.
  4. Select Save changes.

Moderators can edit any post; their edits are recorded the same way.

Revision history #

The previous version is kept every time. The revision history lists the Current version and each earlier Version with its note. It is visible to the author and to moderators, not to other readers.

Remove your own post #

You can remove your own topic or reply. Removed content is hidden, not permanently deleted: moderators can restore it. Contribution awards for removed content are reversed, and restored if it is restored.
