Changing or resetting your password

Change your password from Security, reset a forgotten password with a 60-minute link, and understand a required password change.

Nobody at PKOUG — not an administrator, not a superadmin — can see your password or tell you what it was.

Change your password (signed in) #

  1. Open My PKOUG → Security, then Change my password.
  2. Enter your Current password.
  3. Enter a New password of at least 12 characters and repeat it.
  4. Select Change my password.

Every other device signed in to your account is signed out, and you receive an email confirming the change.

Reset a forgotten password #

  1. Open Reset your password (also linked from sign-in).
  2. Enter your email address and select Send me a link.
  3. Open the link and choose a new password.

The page answers the same way whether or not the address has an account.

"A new password is required" #

An administrator can require you to choose a new password. Until you do, the rest of My PKOUG is unavailable and the navigation is hidden. This does not mean anyone read your old password.

If you receive a password-change email you did not expect, contact info@pkoug.org straight away.
