Rules #
- Upvotes only. There is no downvote. Disagreement belongs in a reply.
- No self-votes. You cannot vote on your own question or answer.
- One vote each. Pressing the control again withdraws your vote.
What votes do #
- The score helps readers see which answers others found useful.
- A vote received on an answer earns its author contribution points and reputation, within a daily limit. Five and ten votes on one answer earn one-time milestone bonuses.
- Withdrawing a vote reverses the award it created.
Unusual voting patterns, such as two accounts repeatedly voting for each other, are flagged for review. See Fair-play rules.
