What points, ranks and badges do NOT grant

Recognition on PKOUG is never a permission. Points, reputation, ranks, badges, credentials and leadership records do not grant access or roles.

PKOUG deliberately keeps recognition and access separate.

RecognitionDoes NOT grant
Contribution points and rankModerator or administrator access, the ability to edit others' posts, or any leadership role
ReputationVoting weight, extra posting rights or bypassing moderation
Expertise and community badgesPermissions of any kind
Verified credentialsPoints, rank or permissions
Leadership appointmentsForum or admin permissions

Where access actually comes from #

  • Forum roles (moderator, administrator) are appointed by PKOUG administrators.
  • Members-only categories depend on a current PKOUG membership.
  • Admin workspace roles are assigned to staff accounts.

"Consideration" listed against higher ranks means a person may be reviewed for an opportunity; the decision is always made by people.
