PKOUG deliberately keeps recognition and access separate.
| Recognition | Does NOT grant |
|---|---|
| Contribution points and rank | Moderator or administrator access, the ability to edit others' posts, or any leadership role |
| Reputation | Voting weight, extra posting rights or bypassing moderation |
| Expertise and community badges | Permissions of any kind |
| Verified credentials | Points, rank or permissions |
| Leadership appointments | Forum or admin permissions |
| Help Center "Was this helpful?" answers | Anything — they are not connected to recognition at all |
Where access actually comes from #
- Forum roles (moderator, administrator) are appointed by PKOUG administrators.
- Members-only categories depend on a current PKOUG membership.
- Admin workspace roles are assigned to staff accounts.
"Consideration" listed against higher ranks means a person may be reviewed for an opportunity; the decision is always made by people.
